About the Role

To deliver innovative, original, quality and entertaining written content and copy that aligns with the Market Theatre Foundation’s brand voice and that captivates the targeted audience.

Content Creations

  • Generate and quality control creative and original content for a variety of platforms, including but not limited to blog posts, social media, website copy, email campaigns, and video scripts.
  • Translate project descriptions and concepts into compelling words.
  • Write and develop media or press releases.
  • Develop a captivating narrative that resonates with our target audience and effectively communicates our brand message.
  • Review and edit content to ensure clarity, coherence, and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Conduct thorough proofreading across a variety of platforms and promotional copy to eliminate errors and ensure the highest quality of written material.

Research and Idea Generations

  • Stay abreast with industry trends, market changes, and relevant topics to ensure content is timely and relevant.
  • Collaborate with the four business units to brainstorm and develop fresh ideas for campaigns and projects.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in writing styles to suit different target audiences and platforms across a range of varied projects.
  • Quickly adapt to changes in project scope or requirements while maintaining creativity and quality.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with the marketing, design, and other teams to align content with the overall Brand and Communications strategies and objectives.
  • Incorporate feedback and collaborate with team members to enhance the impact of promoting creative work.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are of the highest standard.
  • Keep internal stakeholders informed about project progress and address any challenges that may arise.

Internal and External Newsletters

Research and write foundation stories for The Market Buzz

work hand in hand with Digital Communications Officer to create compelling written articles that can be shared across all social media platforms and websites.

Collaborate with design team to create Cover Page for The Market Buzz

Production Programmes

Put together programme material and proof read

Work with design team to design the content in the programme and update staff lists

Desired Experience & 

Qualification

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Media Studies, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Copy Editor, Creative Writer, Copywriter, or similar role.

Advantageous: Hons Degree.

EXPERIENCE

  • 3-5 years of journalism, copywriter.
