BUSINESS UNIT: Market Theatre Foundation (Finance)
Supply Chain Management Assistant
To provide the Market Theatre Foundation with an end to end solution for Supply Chain Management in performing all the administrative functions that are required for the position.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Prepare SCM reports and minutes and maintain SCM filing meticulously ■ Receive and register requests for the invitation of price quotations ■Invite price quotations & assess vendor operations according to quality benchmarks and standards ■ Prepare recommendations regarding received price quotations in conjunction with the relevant end user and submit to the relevant authority for approval ■ Debriefing of successful and unsuccessful suppliers ■ Processing approved invoices for payment ■ Responsible for appropriate supply chain management record keeping functions ■ Expenditure analyses in conjunction with the accountant and the CFO ■ Drafting of monthly, quarterly and annual supply chain management reports ■ Rendering other administrative functions as may be required from time to time ■ Prepare documentation for tenders, receive tenders and manage evaluation and adjudication committees ■ Collaborate with all department at the MTF to ensure a unified understanding of the process ■
Key Competence Requirements:
■ Grade 12 (Matric)
■ Preferably studying towards BCom)
■ Minimum 2 years’ experience in supply chain management environment
■ At least two years general administration
■ Clear knowledge of SCM, PFMA, PPPFA and Treasury regulations
■ Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
■ Communication skills (Verbal & Written)
■ Attention to detail
■ Word and excel at intermediate level
■ Understand and speak more than one South African official language
