Directions

Coming from the South...

1. Traveling North on the M1 Highway, take the Carr Street off ramp.
2. Turn left into Carr Street.
3.  At the next set of traffic lights turn right into Miriam Makeba Street.
4. The entrance to the Market Theatre parking will be on your right at the traffic lights where Miriam Makeba intersects Gwigwi Mrwebi.

Additional Parking from South

1. From M1S take Jan Smuts offramp: Travel south on Jan Smuts and cross Nelson Mandela bridge.. 
2. Turn right into Carr Street with open land on the right hand side.
3. Turn right into the only gate on the right hand side – the access to the additional parking.
4. Security guards will direct you from there to the western corner, the corner closest to the Newtown Total garage.

Coming from the North...

1. Come over the Nelson Mandela Bridge,
2. turn right at the first set of traffic lights into Carr Street. 
3. Once in Carr Street turn left at the first set of traffic lights into Miriam Makeba Street.
4.  You will see a large signboard for Bassline parking at this intersection.
5. The entrance to the Market Theatre parking will be on your right at the traffic lights where Miriam Makeba intersects Gwigwi Mrwebi.

Additional Parking from North

1. From M1N take Carr Street offramp: Turn left into Carr Street at first traffic light. 
2. Cross over next traffic light (Miriam Makeba Street), open land on the left hand side.
3. Turn left into the only gate on the left hand side – the access to the additional parking.
4. Security guards will direct you from there to the western corner, the corner closest to the Newtown Total garage.

Getting to the Nelson Mandela Bridge...

1. Heading South (away from Pretoria towards the Inner City) along Jan Smuts Ave you will come to a major intersection at Jan Smuts and Empire
2.  (KPMG will be on your right, The Star Graffiti Wall will be on your left.)
3. Continue straight through this intersection and up the hill into Braamfontein.
4. At the top of the hill Wits University will be on your right.
5. Carry on straight, this road becomes Bertha and will take you straight over the Nelson Mandela Bridge...

Directions to The Market Theatre Foundation, Administration Offices, 1 President Street, Newtown

1. Continue along Miriam Makeba Street past the Market in a southern direction. 
2. Cross Bree Street and Jeppe Street to get to President Street – where you cannot continue straight, there is a building across the road, SAB World of Beer is on your left and Sci-Bono on your right. 
3. Turn right into President Street.  Turn into the first open parking area gate on the right.  The Market Theatre Administration offices are in the building on your right once you are inside the gate. 
4. Look out for the Maroon-red wall on the right – this is the entrance.
5. If you reached the highway crossing President Street overhead, you continued too far east on President Street and you should turn back.
