Council Member

Shenay Lottering is an Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa and governance professional distinguished by her multifaceted expertise in litigation, corporate governance, company secretarial practice and regulatory compliance. With right of appearance in the High Court of South Africa, Shenay has represented clients across multiple jurisdictions, building a reputation for her sharp legal acumen, strategic thinking and unwavering commitment to ethical practice.

Shenay began her legal career at Padi Incorporated Attorneys, where she quickly advanced into a role that combined litigation with high‑level corporate advisory work. In addition to her legal and governance portfolio, Shenay serves in critical regulatory and strategic leadership roles. Since 2022, she has been a Member of the Johannesburg Local Committee of the Gauteng Liquor Board, where she adjudicates licence applications, conducts compliance inspections, writes judgments, and ensures adherence to the Liquor Act. In 2026, she was appointed as a Council Member of The Market Theatre Foundation, expanding her leadership footprint into the arts and cultural sector. This role enables her to contribute at the level of institutional strategy, policy development, good governance, and long‑term sustainability.
