Purpose
- Planning and implementing MTF’s brand and communication strategies; programmes and

Create Marketing Strategies that inform the Marketing of the Brand
- Create copy and deploy brand content or strategies for MTF’s internal and external marketing, including owning, driving, and scaling the Database and audience engagement, and focus around MTF’s key KPIs for Marketing.
Audience Development and Sales
- Develop strategies to increase awareness and visibility of the Foundation’s mission and its artistic offering through innovative use of media and other applicable channels and partnerships.
- Attend and report to the Marketing and Fundraising Committee as determined by the CEO and the Chair of the Committee.
- Monitor the implementation of plans to increase advanced sales of MTF artistic programmes.
- Tracks all marketing and sales data and creates detailed written reports and verbal presentations to bring to senior management/ council when required.
- Plan, propose and the commission-approved research programmes as required to inform strategic and programme planning in Marketing, PR, and audience Development to grow audiences for the Foundation and numbers for sales objectives.
- Develop advertising and communications objectives that are measurable and seek to generate realistic awareness to positively influence audience behaviour, provide assurance, generate sales, and build corporate brand equity in terms of position and differentiation, utilise this to increase Audience Development Sales objectives. Hence increasing ticket sales, and courses intake for all units.
- Ensure achievement of annual performance plan targets as set out in the annual Performance Plan.
Interpret briefs to execute relevant and contemporary assets
- Guide client through a brief to obtain clear ideas of what to design for the specified product/event.
- Conceptualise a Marketing plan that meets both the brief requirements, as well as marketing needs.
- Ensure that MTF remains relevant and relatable to contemporary audiences/markets while remaining true to the product/event and the institution.
Create and Lead Innovative Campaigns that ensure visibility
- Create marketing campaigns that speak to our audience or possible new audiences to attract an influx of people to partake in all of the MTF events and shows.
- Increase brand visibility to ensure that the MTF continues to be a thought leader where Arts and Culture are involved.
- Stay ahead of current and upcoming marketing trends and language to remain relevant within a popular culture space. However, remain authentic to the brand to ensure that we do not lose sight of our Primary Market.
Forecast Marketing trends in order to ensure a contemporary language
- Constantly evaluate current trends from other similar businesses across the globe and see how to incorporate new and contemporary design languages into the MTFs.
- Develop compelling content that drives the continuity of our Brand across email, video podcasts and other materials in partnership with different lines of the business, all of whom you will work with in different capacities.
- Help build the content strategy and execution for the MTF website, including partnering with IT to ensure our online presence and content is easily accessible.
Evaluate and source media and brand partnerships and Stakeholder engagement
- Provide opportunities for partners who will work with us to share content on activities and events occurring within the MTF Group.
- Source Paid, Earned and other Media opportunities to ensure that we reach untapped audiences and following to increase the MTF Brand presence.
Receiving and processing all requests related to branding and marketing
- Explore all requests regarding the brand and partnerships.
- Report on the progress of partnerships and ROI.
- Develop sales collateral, events, and digital content (site pages, emails, landing pages) to recruit and nurture prospective agency partners.
- Ensure that Council and Management are constantly informed on what is happening at the MTF.
- Manage Staff communications.
- Manage external stakeholders’ Newsletter.

Qualification
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE
EDUCATION
- Degree/NQF 7 Qualification in Marketing or Media Relations.
- Qualifications could include degrees in Strategic Marketing, Brand Management, Communication, Digital Marketing and Sales.
- Project Management is beneficial.
EXPERIENCE
- At least 5 -7 years of experience, of which 3 should be in managerial role in the Marketing or Communications field and experience in conceptualising abstract ideas and briefs
- Experience with Stakeholder and Partnership agreements
- Preferable experience in the artistic/creative industry, as well as corporate
- Knowledge or experience in Brand enhancement including knowledge of the Media Market and Industry

- Creating various strategies via CANVA and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of copyright and licensing of visual material
- Understanding of corporate design and marketing language
- Understanding of the media landscape
- Experience and proficiency in sales 360 media campaigns
