About the Role

Purpose

Provide effective and efficiently administrative support to the Producing Department in the successful production and presentation of productions by the Market Theatre Foundation.

  • Administration of schedules and procurement services
  • Implementation, administration, and reporting on allocated budgets
  • Liaison with relevant persons in the completion of administrative processes & tasks
  • Administration of logistics for travel & tours in the Department
  • Attending Production Meetings and retaining minutes for the Producing and Technical Units
  • Maintaining of the Department’s Assets register, inventories, risk register and attend to all compliance reporting for the Artistic Department (Producing and Technical)
  • Manage and administer in conjunction with the Assistant Producer, the Department’s budget including all invoicing for the Department (Producing and Technical)
  • Assist with the compilation of the Department’s Quarterly Report
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly performance information
  • Developing and maintaining a filling system for all administrative documents
  • Liaison with the Department’s service providers
  • Assisting the Assistant Producer with administrative matters as required in the following areas:
  • Schedules, Planning, Timelines, liaising between the Producing office and the Creative team of a production as well as between other internal and external stakeholders
  • Render general administrative support to the Assistant Producer

Qualification

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE

  • Grade 12 – Matric
  • Minimum 3 Years Diploma/Degree in Office Administration or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 5 years proven administrative experience within the arts sector
  • Basic Accounting skills.
  • Understanding of Administrative and clerical duties.
  • Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
  • Excellent communication skills (Written and verbally) and report writing
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
